Is Laser Tag safe?

Yes, laser tag is even more safe than playing a game of regular tag (we don't allow running or any physical contact)! Our equipment uses infared beams that are certified to not be harmful to the human eye.

Where is your tactical laser tag arena located?

We are located in the Iowa City Marketplace in the old Ben Franklin's space right next to the Sycamore Cinema (1606 Sycamore St., Iowa City). If you walk in the mall entrance for the movie theater, our sign will be the first one you see!

What are your hours for the arena?

Our current open play hours are on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 6PM to 9PM. We also are available to schedule parties or private events at other times during the week, please contact us to schedule a private event.

How old do you need to be to play laser tag?

Laser tag is a perfect activity for anyone 7 years old and up. We have taggers to fit every age and height, and at just over two pounds our taggers are light enough for people of all ages to enjoy.

How long does each laser tag match last?

Apex Laser Tag matches last anywhere from 12-15 minutes of actual play time. There is a short safety briefing before match start, and players will be able to check out their high scores on a monitor following the match.

Can you burn calories while playing laser tag?

A typical laser tag match consists of walking approximately 1/4 of a mile over the course of the game, so most people will burn around 100 calories per match! Not only is laser tag fun and immersive, it is a great way to get active and further develop teamwork and communication skills.
