Just like any sport, competition, or physical activity, clear rules keep the playing field safe and secure. Every player is expected to follow the guidelines below:

Rule #1

Laser tag is a no-contact sport! Touching another player can get you pulled from the match and possibly banned from future games. There is never a reason to invade someone's personal space — respect their "personal bubble" and they will respect yours.

Rule #2

Good sportsmanship is key to a fun, safe laser tag match. Every word and gesture between players needs to stay positive. Offensive or derogatory language can get you removed from the game and possibly banned from future games. You'll enjoy the experience far more when you congratulate opponents on great plays — it builds a positive competitive atmosphere for everyone.

Rule #3

Following the spirit of Rule #2, players must keep their headbands on and their sensors visible to opponents at all times. Deliberately covering sensors counts as cheating and will be treated that way, leading to removal from the game and a possible ban from future games. Keep every match fun and fair, and everyone wins!

Rule #4

Players must keep both hands on their tagger at all times. Holding the tagger with both hands prevents dropped equipment and stops anyone from poking it past a barrier where it could strike another player.

RULE #5

Calls made by the Apex Laser Tag game master or staff are final and cannot be negotiated. Our job is to keep everyone safe and to maintain a positive laser tag environment, and every decision we make comes back to those two principles.
