Live out your favorite video game or movie as you take on immersive missions with cutting-edge laser tag gear and solid teamwork. Face off against rival players to collect clues, defuse “bombs,” free hostages, and dive into this sci-fi adventure!
The Apollo School is a former high school in Burlington, IA, offering more than 200,000 square feet across three floors, dozens of rooms, and roof access. It could pass for the set of any post-apocalyptic film, making it a fantastic backdrop for this event.
“The Apollo Project” delivers a little over 5 hours of laser tag gameplay (10AM-4PM with short breaks) and can host up to 40 players at once. The event breaks into several timed scenarios, each assigning players specific missions to complete. Two factions of 20 players each battle it out for team victory! Our live-scoring software tracks your K/D (kill/death) ratio, tagger accuracy, and many other stats as they update in real time during the match. Team up to hold hardpoints, defuse charges, and clear radioactive hazards (our high-tech electronic props make it all possible).
No special gear is required to join in — just buy a ticket and our laser tag rental equipment will be waiting for you on site. Be sure to wear your team colors (listed below) and footwear suited to this kind of event (boots or sturdy athletic shoes are strongly recommended).
Uniforms: If you buy an AstroTech ticket, wear BLACK clothing or a black sci-fi themed costume. At minimum, a black t-shirt and jeans will do. This rule helps teams tell each other apart.
If you buy a CyberTitan ticket, wear green clothing (such as green camouflage or a solid green uniform). At minimum, a dark green shirt and jeans is acceptable. IF YOU NEED A DARK GREEN T-SHIRT, WE WILL BE SELLING OD (OLIVE DRAB) GREEN SHIRTS FOR $5 AT THE DOOR. Please email or message us to make sure we set your size aside.
ATTENTION: If you want to go above and beyond and wear or build a costume for this event (think Star Wars armor, a HALO Spartan suit, any form of foam power armor, etc.), message or email us with what you plan to make or wear and we can grant you an in-game “boost” for the extra effort. That may include bonus health/life points or increased damage for your blaster. It is an incentive to make this event even more immersive.
Scenario: Matching the sci-fi theme, this event unfolds in a fictional future on a distant planet named Windfall. Windfall was once a minor trading world of little interest to anyone. Lately, reports point to a valuable energy source buried deep within the planet. Two mega-corporations, AstroTech and CyberTitan, have dispatched mercenary units to look into those reports. An unidentified source has drawn both mega-corp forces to a former school on Windfall. AstroTech and CyberTitan troops are ordered to fight for anything of value inside the school and confirm whether the energy source reports are true. Which side will leave the school victorious? Pick your side and work with your team to defeat the other faction!
